Content & Acceptable Use Policy

This Content & Acceptable Use Policy applies to your use of Worksona and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Worksona is designed to help people create professional profiles and tell their career story. To keep the Service useful, trustworthy, and safe, users and visitors must follow the rules below.

1. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you upload, create, publish, approve, or share through Worksona.

This includes resumes, profile information, bios, career entries, photos, captions, social links, success stories, endorsements, private links, chat configuration, and any other content associated with your account or profile.

You must have the rights and permissions necessary to use and share your content.

2. Professional Accuracy

You may not use Worksona to misrepresent your professional background.

You may not publish or submit false, misleading, deceptive, or fabricated information about:

  • Your identity
  • Employment history
  • Education
  • Credentials
  • Certifications
  • Skills
  • Achievements
  • Awards
  • Clients
  • Employers
  • Endorsements
  • Professional relationships
  • Portfolio work

Worksona does not verify user-submitted professional claims. You are responsible for ensuring your profile is accurate and not misleading.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, create, publish, submit, approve, link to, or share content that:

  • Is unlawful or promotes unlawful activity.
  • Is false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent.
  • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights.
  • Impersonates another person, company, recruiter, employer, or organization.
  • Contains private or confidential information that you do not have permission to share.
  • Contains explicit sexual content, pornography, or graphic nudity.
  • Contains hateful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, or violent content.
  • Encourages self-harm, violence, exploitation, or abuse.
  • Contains malware, malicious code, phishing content, spam, or scams.
  • Attempts to manipulate, bypass, or abuse Worksona's systems.
  • Is designed to mislead recruiters, employers, visitors, or other users.
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.

4. Photos and Images

You may only upload images that you own or have permission to use.

You may not upload:

  • Images of other people without permission.
  • Misleading or impersonating images.
  • Explicit, hateful, violent, or unlawful images.
  • Images that infringe another person's rights.
  • Employer, client, or third-party materials that you are not authorized to use.
  • AI-generated images that falsely imply a real event, relationship, credential, or endorsement.

Photos should be appropriate for a professional profile.

5. Links

You are responsible for links you add to your Worksona profile.

You may not link to:

  • Malware
  • Phishing pages
  • Illegal content
  • Harassing or hateful content
  • Explicit content
  • Infringing content
  • Misleading or deceptive pages
  • Pages that impersonate another person or company

Worksona may remove links that violate this policy.

6. Private or Confidential Information

You may not upload or publish confidential information unless you have permission to do so.

This includes:

  • Employer confidential information
  • Client confidential information
  • Trade secrets
  • Non-public business information
  • Private communications
  • Sensitive personal information about others
  • Proprietary documents
  • Internal company materials
  • Information subject to an NDA or confidentiality obligation

7. AI-Generated Content

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before using or publishing it.

You may not use AI features to create, publish, or distribute content that violates this policy.

You may not publish AI-generated content that falsely claims or implies that you have experience, credentials, endorsements, relationships, achievements, or qualifications that you do not actually have.

8. Endorsements

Endorsements must be genuine, truthful, authorized, and not misleading.

On Worksona, endorsements are professional recommendations from people who have worked with, managed, hired, advised, mentored, collaborated with, or otherwise professionally interacted with the profile owner.

You may not submit, approve, display, solicit, buy, sell, or otherwise use fake, misleading, AI-generated, undisclosed paid, unauthorized, or deceptive endorsements.

9. Abuse of the Service

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from Worksona without permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, usage limits, payment gates, or security controls.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated systems to abuse the Service.
  • Reverse engineer the Service.
  • Use Worksona to send spam, phishing messages, scams, or unauthorized solicitations.
  • Use Worksona to create profiles for people without their permission.
  • Create accounts or profiles for deceptive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

10. Enforcement

Worksona may review, remove, restrict, unpublish, or disable access to content or accounts that we believe violate this policy, our Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others.

We may take action with or without notice, including:

  • Removing content
  • Unpublishing a profile
  • Disabling features
  • Suspending or terminating accounts
  • Reclaiming custom slugs
  • Refusing or reversing publication
  • Reporting unlawful activity where appropriate

We are not obligated to monitor all content, and our failure to remove specific content does not waive our right to enforce this policy later.
